Some Day

While sailing on the ocean,
far from the distant shore.
The things of life's commotion,
seem many times less then more.

The thoughts of continuous conflict,
the doubts of the daily life.
Give way to a peaceful existence,
to a mind that is free from strife.

So why do I wait
in this land locked state?
Why only ponder the things out yonder?

I really don't know,
for the older I grow,
The things of life,
of struggle and strife,
Become less of a quest,
then a mind at rest
and a life with a certainty.

Some day I'll go,
come Hell, Heat or Snow,
and leave the troubles behind.

Some Day
